This homemade strawberry milk is a perfect blend of fruity, creamy, and subtly sweet flavors, made with just four simple ingredients. It’s easy to prepare, customizable, and perfect for one or two servings.

Ingredients

2 cups whole milk

1/2 cup hulled and chopped strawberries (frozen is fine)

1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar

1/4 cup water

A couple of drops of red food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 cups of whole milk into a large glass and place it in the freezer to chill until very cold. Skip this step if you're making the syrup ahead of time.
  2. In a small pot, combine the strawberries, sugar, and water. Bring the mixture to a low boil and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 10 minutes, until it becomes fragrant and reduces.
  3. Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the syrup into a small bowl or cup, discarding the solid strawberries.
  4. Mix 3 tablespoons (or about 2/3 of the syrup) into your very cold milk. Stir well, and then add more syrup to taste. If desired, add a couple of drops of food coloring to enhance the pink hue.
  5. Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade strawberry milk!

Notes

  • Dairy-Free Version: Swap out the whole milk for a dairy-free alternative like almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk.
  • Sweetener Alternatives: Try using honey, maple syrup, or stevia for a different sweetness level.
  • Enhanced Flavor: Add a splash of vanilla extract to the syrup for an extra layer of flavor.
  • Ice Cream Float: Turn your strawberry milk into a fun float by adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!
  • Storage: The syrup can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
