Grandma’s Cherry Delight is a nostalgic, layered dessert with a buttery graham cracker crust, creamy sweetened cream cheese filling, and vibrant cherry pie topping. Perfect for holidays, potlucks, or anytime a crowd-pleasing treat is needed.

Ingredients

2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/2 cup melted butter

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

Dash of milk

1 can cherry pie filling

8 oz. Cool Whip or Dream Whip (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a medium-sized baking dish.
  4. Bake the crust for 5 minutes, then allow to cool completely.
  5. In a mixing bowl, blend softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and a dash of milk until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cooled crust.
  7. Top with cherry pie filling.
  8. Optionally, spread Cool Whip or Dream Whip over the cherry layer.
  9. Refrigerate overnight to allow the dessert to set.
  10. Slice into squares and serve chilled.
