Banana Pudding Lush is a no-bake layered dessert featuring a vanilla wafer crust, creamy cream cheese layer, rich banana pudding, and whipped topping, perfect for gatherings and special occasions.

Ingredients

1 box vanilla wafers, crushed (about 2½ cups crumbs)

½ cup melted butter

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (Cool Whip), divided

2 (3.4 oz) boxes instant banana pudding mix

3 cups cold milk

2 ripe bananas, sliced (for garnish)

Crushed vanilla wafers (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Combine crushed vanilla wafers and melted butter; press into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
  2. Beat softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in half the whipped topping. Spread evenly over cooled crust.
  3. Whisk instant banana pudding mixes with cold milk for 2 minutes until thickened. Pour over cream cheese layer and spread evenly.
  4. Spread remaining whipped topping over pudding layer. Garnish with sliced bananas and crushed vanilla wafers.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set before serving.

Notes

  • To prevent bananas from browning, toss slices in lemon juice before garnishing.
  • Substitute graham cracker crust for a different flavor.
  • Use homemade whipped cream instead of Cool Whip for fresher taste.
  • Add other fruits like strawberries or blueberries between layers for variety.
  • Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator up to 4 days; not suitable for freezing.
  • Chop nuts such as walnuts or pecans can be added on top for extra crunch.
