Apple Pie Bites are flaky crescent roll pastries wrapped around tender spiced apple slices, sprinkled with brown sugar and crunchy pecans, then baked until golden brown for a quick and cozy dessert.

Ingredients

1/4 cup packed light brown sugar

1 teaspoon apple pie spice, plus 1/4 teaspoon for sprinkling

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

1/3 cup chopped pecans

1 small Granny Smith apple, cored and sliced into 8 (1/2-inch) slices

1 (8 ounce) tube Pillsbury Original crescent rolls

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and 1 teaspoon apple pie spice.
  3. Melt the butter and toss the apple slices in the melted butter. Set aside.
  4. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles and arrange on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the brown sugar mixture over each triangle.
  6. Top each triangle with chopped pecans.
  7. Place one apple slice on the wide end of each triangle and roll toward the pointed end to wrap.
  8. Brush the tops with remaining butter and lightly sprinkle with additional apple pie spice.
  9. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Drizzle with caramel sauce after baking for extra sweetness.
  • Substitute walnuts for pecans if desired.
  • Use Honeycrisp or Fuji apples for a sweeter flavor.
  • Add a small cube of cream cheese inside each roll for a creamy variation.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
  • Reheat in a 300°F oven for 5–7 minutes to restore crispness.
