Air fryer sliced potatoes are a quick and easy way to enjoy crispy, golden potato slices with minimal effort. This recipe results in perfectly seasoned, crunchy-on-the-outside, tender-on-the-inside slices that can be served as a side dish or enjoyed as a snack.

Ingredients

4 large potatoes

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic granules

1 tsp dried mixed herbs

1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes thoroughly and slice them into 1/2 cm thick rounds.
  2. Place the potato slices in a pot of water to remove excess starch. Once all the slices are ready, drain the water and pat them dry with kitchen paper or a clean kitchen towel.
  3. In a bowl, toss the dried potato slices with olive oil, garlic granules, dried mixed herbs, and salt until evenly coated.
  4. Transfer the seasoned slices to the air fryer basket, spreading them out evenly. Cook at 200°C (390°F) for 18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even cooking. If needed, cook for an additional 2 minutes.
  5. Serve the crispy potato slices as a side dish or enjoy them as a snack.

Notes

  • Spicy Version: Add a pinch of chili powder, paprika, or cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.
  • Cheesy: After cooking, sprinkle the potato slices with grated parmesan or cheddar cheese for a cheesy twist.
  • Herb Variations: Experiment with different herbs such as rosemary, thyme, or oregano for a unique flavor.
  • Garlic Parmesan: Add garlic granules and parmesan cheese to the seasoning mix for a savory, garlic-infused flavor.
  • To make the potatoes extra crispy, ensure they are completely dry before seasoning and air frying. You can also cook them for an extra 2 minutes after the initial cook time.
  • Storage: Store leftover potato slices in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheating: Reheat the potato slices in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes at 180°C (350°F) to restore their crispiness. Alternatively, you can reheat them in an oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 5 minutes.
